what can go wrong
ooh lovely and you even took the hings off - I think I would have skipped that and then regretted it! Jo x
ReplyDeleteI nearly didn't Jo but then as Teodora had I thought perhaps I'd better. I was so quick to take them off then pop them back I'm glad I did, it would have taken way longer to try to paint round!
DeleteTeodora's boxes are so lovely indeed. But truth be told your box has become so pretty one can hardly notice any differences! I love it!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day,
Marjan
The great thing about crafting is it only matters if you love it. But I do think it came out great, too!
ReplyDeleteYou're right of course (bit I am secretly happy if other people like it too!)
DeleteYour Xacto box looks fabulous and so summery Julie
ReplyDeleteThanks Amber, I was just using the paint colours I had, but the result is super summery isn't it?
DeleteI absolutely love your box! Thank you :).
ReplyDeleteThanks Teodora, and thank you for the inspiration to have a go. I'm looking for more wooden things to paint now!
DeleteAwesome! Your box looks lovely now and so unique!
ReplyDeleteThank you Caroline, that's the best thing about making yourself isn't it, that the things you make are unique.
DeleteVery cute, I hope you continue to expand your painting idea, because this is so bright, cheerful, unique and lovely.
ReplyDeleteThanks Leanna, I will try this again, it was much simpler than I thought it would be to get results that are not totally embarrassing!
DeleteI love it too ! It's so pretty and much more inspiring for your craft stuff than in it's original state!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely, plain wood can look great but for a box like this I think pretty is more fun!
DeleteThis is such a cute project. It's inspiring when your tools and supplies are organized in pretty, artistic containers. It just makes you feel good when you get to work.
ReplyDeleteYes Carol, exactly. It's nice to surround yourself with pretty things sometimes.
DeleteThose are beautiful!! Thanks for sharing at the Pleasures of the NW's DIY link party!
